Large C.1990 Bordallo Pinheiro Oyster Tureen. Highly collectable Majolica and having a resurgence thanks to stockist like Liberty, this is a rare and beautiful find.
Lovely textured lid with black coral-like handle and spoon allowance, small shallow fleck of a chip (as shown). Attracrive shell pot base in excellent order complete with decorative clam feet and "Bordallo Pinheiro " sticker.
No spoon, what looks like discolouration on the inner is part of lid and bowl is actually the glazing effect.
14cm tall to top of the handle, approx 27cm at its widest point.
